Panasonic recently announced the Eluga, a tidy little Android number featuring a range of respectable spec including 1GHz dual-core processor running current OS standard Gingerbread on a 4.3-inch OLED display. It’s a title that doesn’t lie, and the Panasonic Eluga Power smartphone boasts a CPU boost up to 1.5GHz courtesy of the impressive Qualcomm S4 chip with 8GB internal memory with potential to expand this by 32GB with MicroSD. The display also isn’t too shabby – Big bro features 5-inches of LCD at a 1280 x 720 resolution and the high-end contender will of course come running Google’s newest Android, version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Also notable is the gadget’s slender frame, measuring just 9.6mm thick – not the slimmest but reasonable for a premium device from a company famed for making much larger home entertainment tech. The on-board camera is a very decent 8-megapixel shooter with full HD video recording and autofocus and the Power includes a forward facing camera which is absent from the previously named model.
Battery life and quick charging is considered in the Eluga Power concept, with Panasonic suggesting a full charge in just one hour and just like little sibling which was announced on February 20th this powerful product will also be waterproof and dust proof.
