This is a bit of a sneaky leak. It would appear that Acer are prepping a new Google Android Gingerbread sporting handset to join its Liquid range for release on UK network Orange.
That is, if a brand new ‘Coming Soon’ page on the network’s website is to be true.
Orange UK has set up a new page for the Acer C6 Liquid Express (also known as Acer E320) which will be a pretty specced out mid-level Android Gingerbread running smartphone.
The site states that the C6 Liquid Express will sport a 3.5-inch LCD capacitive screen, 5-megapixel camera plus Wi-Fi, 3G, FM Radio and Bluetooth connectivity.
The handset will also run off a Qualcomm MSM Turbo 800MHz processor to power all the Android 2.3.4 features you get with a modern smartphone including Gmail, YouTube, Google Maps and Social network integration. All this tech is packed into a 13.4mm thick shell which weighs in at 135g.
As the C6 Liquid Express is a mid-level phone you can expect the handset to be around the £200-300 price range, but to be free on selected contracts across the Orange network.
The interesting fact is how Acer have kept this handset’s release on the quiet! Other than the Orange product page you see above, we haven’t heard anything else about it.
