Netflix Video Streaming to Launch in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland in 2012

Video streaming website Netflix has announced that it is to expand to its European territories by launching its video rental on-demand service in the Nordic countries of Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland before the end of the 2012.

Netflix launched in the UK at the start of the year against major competition Lovefilm and has seen great success since its launch. The service allows users to subscribe to Netflix for a once monthly cost and then users have access to watch a wide array of Hollywood, local and global TV shows and movies; many with high definition video and Dolby Digital Plus surround sound.

Netflix originally found success in the US and have been providing movies and streaming services for users for over a decade, and has risen to the top with its premium streaming services.

When Netflix launched in the UK in January the service offered a free 30 day trial to new customers to try the service, which may be the same when Netflix is launched in the Nordics.

Details about the service, including pricing, content and supported devices, will be announced closer to launch and people in the new countries who are interested in becoming Netflix members can go to www.netflix.com and sign up to receive an e-mail alerts.
