Nexus 6 and Moto X Receive Price Cuts in Motorola Summer Sale

The British weather may not be able to make its mind up lately but the Motorola Summer Sale is sure to brighten any potential new phone buyer’s day regardless of the view outside. For the next two weeks the mobile-maker is offering up two of its finest smartphones – the Nexus 6 and the Moto X for a fraction of the usual asking price!

Starting with the Nexus 6 – this is a 6-inch phablet with a Quad HD touchscreen display which comes running Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out of the box. Previously this mega-sized model would cost £479 to buy without a contract but until the 30th of June it’s only £399.

As well as a spacious surface for enjoying apps, games and multimedia, the Nexus 6 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor clocked at 2.7GHz, with a generous 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage (64GB storage is also option at cost). A 13-megapixel at the rear captures 4K quality video and there are 2-megapixels to use up front. Connectivity is available in the form of 4G / LTE and Wi-Fi.

The Moto X is Motorola’s flagship model and the premium handset has a 5.2-inch AMOLED Full HD display and also includes Android 5.0. Before the summer promotion it would set you back £399 at the moment it’s a bargain starting at £229 until the close of sale. Customization options are available to create your ideal appearance for the phone but costs will incur.

Qualcomm Snapdragon is again the chip brand of choice, this time the 801 processing comes in at 2.5GHz quad-core, and the Moto X comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (32GB also available). The camera specs here mirror the Nexus 6 with 13-MP and 2MP respectively and the handset is 4G and Wi-Fi capable.

That’s just some of the skinny details of both the Nexus 6 and Moto X but there’s much more we could say about them. Samsung and Apple may seem to rule the roost but if you’re looking to buy a new phone we’d recommend popping over to Motorola to check out the competition and bag yourself a bargain!
