The Nexus 6 will be released in the UK on December 1st?

Last month Google announced the latest Android running flagship handset, the Nexus 6 to wte word, and since its announcement we folks in the UK have been waiting to find out just when we will be able to get our hands on the Android 5.0 running device.

Well thanks to the folks over at mobiles.co.uk we now have a release date for the Nexus 6 in the UK, as the company has placed the handset up for pre-order with a release date of the 1st of December.

Google has announced that the Nexus 6 (and its Tablet brother, the Nexus 9) will be coming to the UK, but since its announcement the company has been pretty quiet on just when we will be able to get one. However, Mobiles.co.uk (who is owned by the Carphone Warehouse) will have the new Nexus up for Pre-order form the 18th of November.

The reason we are excited about the Nexus 6 hitting our UK shelves is that the Flagship smartphone is a bit of a beast. It features a 5.9 inch display, quad HD with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and 493ppi display. Its powered by a massive Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core 2.7GHz processor whilst running the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop software from Google.

Hardware wise the Nexus 6 features a more than modest 13 megapixel camera on the back with a 2MP resolution cam on the front which has support for 1080p video recording. It has a 3220hAh battery to keep your phone alive, and the handset will be made available in both 32GB and 64GB memory variants.

The retailer is offering the Nexus 6 at around £28 a month across most networks, but as of this time there is no SIM free price on offer. The handset is available on the Google Play store for Pre-order, but still with no price or release date info.
