Yesterday Nintendo announced the packages, prices and release date for its new ‘living room revolution’ – the Wii U. The HD console was revealed as arriving in two different bundles for the U.K and Europe on November the 30th. The first, a Basic Package, containing an 8GB gaming system in white should cost around £210 and a Premium Package including black console with 32GB of internal storage and access to the Nintendo Network Premium (a bonus awards scheme for digital purchases through the eShop) is estimated at around £250 (when based on the Japanese pricing). Both bundles come complete with the touchscreen GamePad controller in matching colour (these unfortunately will not be available separately outside of the motherland). The Wii U is let loose but what games can we expect from day one?
Nintendo has that covered too, revealing the names of no less than 40 release schedule titles for U.K and Europe market which include impressive games teased at E3 such as returning favourites in New Super Mario Bros. U and the theme park party game Nintendo Land. French publishing co. Ubisoft which also made an impact at the entertainment expo with Batman: Arkham City – Armoured Edition, Rayman Legends and ZombiU making the list.
Other anticipated games for Nintendo’s Wii U also include the soon to be released FIFA 13 (which was demoed for Xbox 360 earlier this week) as well as Call of Duty: Black Ops II – providing a sample of the ‘serious gaming’ titles shaping up for the new console.
