Nintendo is offering new games and discounts galore across both handheld 3DS and Wii U platforms through this week’s eShop update – including a massive price chop on Gadget Helpline’s frightening favourite, ZombiU.
New additions to Nintendo’s digital download store include the anticipated Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the Wii U (for £49.99) and 3DS (for £39.99) as well as some purchasable extras to enhance the gameplay. This title is joined by main console games Need for Speed: Most Wanted (£44.99) and the classic Punch-Out which weighs in at a lightweight 30 pence through the Virtual Console – Nintendo’s hub for all things retro, which is currently celebrating 30 years of gaming.
As for those infectious eShop discounts, the price of ZombiU – the gory game that helped sell the Nintendo Wii U as a serious gaming platform is slashed almost in half (up to 45% no less). The real-time survival horror tale set in London is cut down from £54.99 to just £29.99 in the latest update and is one of the Gadget Helpline’s top tips for Nintendo’s latest home console.
If you’re more into fighting foes that still have a pulse and enjoy engaging in combat with a historical theme, another of Ubisoft’s great Wii U offerings, Assassin’s Creed III also receives a significant cost cut also falling from £54.99 to £29.99. If you haven’t already you can now enjoy honing your skills at a reduced bounty ahead of the pirate adventuring in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag which was recently announced (unofficially, then officially!)
