Nokia Lumia 720 priced under £400 and released 8th April?

Nokia’s next Lumia smartphone, the 720, has been inadvertently priced and dated thanks to a Amazon listing and product page which confirms that the new Windows Phone 8 running smartphone will be coming in in the next 2 weeks, if the product page is correct.

The product page reveals that the Nokia Lumia 720 could be priced as around £383 and could be released as soon as the 8th of April in the UK. This release date does fit in with Nokia’s original Q2 of 2013 release date schedule when the handset was announced.

The Lumia 720 will be the forth Windows Phone 8 running handset following on from the flagship Lumia 920, 820 and budget 620 smartphones that were announced back in October of 2012. The new handset will be a mid-ranged phone running both the Windows Phone 8 OS and Nokia’s software system that includes Nokia Maps and Music.

The 720 packs a 4.3-inch IPS ClearBlack display with a resolution of 800 x 480, a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory and a micro SD card slot for expansion.

Nokia is touting the Lumia 720 as an affordable handset designed for those who still want a great camera. The company says that the phone offers “the best camera experience of any midrange smartphone”, with a 6.7 megapixel rear camera that features Carl Zeiss optics and an impressive f/1.9 aperture. Up front is a 1.3 megapixel camera for video calling and self-shots.

If the pricing is correct then the Lumia 720 will be a bit pricy At £383, especially if you compare it to the Lumia 620 smartphone which comes in with only slightly smaller spec, but for just £160.

We have no idea if this is the correct details but if the handset is so close then the leak could be true.
