After it was announced that Nokia’s Lumia 800 Windows Phone would be getting a colourless makeover this March, it’s also been let slip (relatively unnoticed) that future big bro, the Lumia 900, will also be coming along in a cool white variant when it’s released in June (allegedly).
Pictures of the larger Lumia leaked onto the internet amidst the excitement for the toneless edition of the smaller Lumia 800 model and only a few keen Nokia aficionados noted that the handset in some shots was in fact not the first wave Windows Phone with Microsoft’s latest upgrade “Mango” – but actually the 900 and this one’s also looking a little peaked.
The White version of the Lumia 900 will also reflect the spec of the first version to be released, with 4.3” display and a powerful battery capacity which supports all of its advancements on the 800. Windows Phone 7.5 runs off a 1.4GHz Qualcomm CPU with an impressive 8GB of onboard RAM. The first version of the Lumia 900 is said to land in the States in March, with a UK release possibly following a lengthy three months later.
Since the news of the white 900 variant isn’t meant to be heard yet, we have no fixed idea of when that particular model will surface. It’ll be four months since the original Lumia 800 appeared on our shores by the time the pale variant of that model arrives here, if that’s anything to base a guess on.
