Nokia Lumia 929 and Lumia 525 leaked with specifications

Nokia is going handset crazy at the moment, with just a week after announcing its latest range of Lumia handsets and new tablets, more leaked images of incoming handsets have appeared online. This time we’ve spotted the Nokia Lumia 929 and Lumia 525, both of which look set to be variants of the existing Lumia 920 and Lumia 520 handsets.

The Lumia 929 was first seen last week in leaked photos, but now WPCentral has gotten its grubby fingers on the full specifications of the incoming incremental upgrade handset.

It appears that the Lumia 929 will feature a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and a 5-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p Full HD resolution. Inside the phone will have 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and another hefty 20-megapixel PureView rear camera.

The 929 is looking to be a variation of the 928 handset specifically for the US network Verizon Wireless and is a faster and slightly bigger improvement on the existing handset.

The Lumia 525 however is a mid-range smartphone which has been leaked by a Chinese website. The handset is looking set to include a 4-inch 800 x 480 resolution screen and run a basic 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM. The phone will reportedly have a 2D hardened glass front and Nokia’s super-sensitive touch technology which will allow users to use the screen even when wearing gloves.

Hardware-wise the phone has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera (which supports 720p 30fps video recording capabilities) and will have 8GB of on-board storage, with a micro SD card slot for expansion.

What’s more, the Lumia 525 will come with Nokia’s BH-121 Bluetooth stereo headphones to add to the bundle.

There is no word on pricing or release dates for either handsets and we don’t expect the Lumia 929 to be landing on our UK shores anytime soon. The Lumia 525 however may make an appearance as an update to the current Lumia 520 handset.
