Over on the Talk Maemo forum there is currently a lot of activity going on due to the fact that there are reports that the Nokia N9 will soon be getting a new Firefox browser, but that not all, it will also feature Flash support too.
It would seem though that Flash will only be enabled in Firefox and not the current default browser available on the N9 or the new Opera Mobile browser available for the OS.
It’s a bit strange considering that the N900 featured full Flash support; however it’s something that current N9 users have had to do without. What’s also strange is that Mozilla have allowed Flash on this version of their Firefox browser considering that every other version of their mobile browser doesn’t feature the Adobe technology.
However, it is important to note that the people behind the development of the Flash plugin for the MeeGo version of Firefox don’t work for either Mozilla or Adobe, but instead work for Nokia.
There is still little information as to when exactly the Firefox browser with Flash support will be available for the N9, however if you’re interested in keeping up-to-date with developments make sure you check this forum out.
