New Official Media Remote and Bluetooth Headset for Xbox 360 Revealed

  • by

Microsoft and Xbox 360 head honcho Major Nelson have unveiled a duo of accessories for the console; the Xbox 360 Media Remote and the Xbox 360 Bluetooth Wireless Headset.

The pair are new versions of accessories previously released but redesigned and restyled in stylish glossy black, to go nicely with the new slim Xbox 360 console.

The Media Remote gives you control over the Dashboard and all media aspects of your console including DVD Playback, Music Playback and apps such as Last.fm and Sky Player. A much needed improvement on the chunky old white remote that has been around since the first Xbox 360 has been released.

Alongside the new Media Remote is a shiny Bluetooth Wireless headset for online gaming and chat. Styled similarly to most Bluetooth headsets designed for mobile phones, this device does essentially the same job but with your Xbox 360. Bluetooth 3.0 connects the earpiece wirelessly to your console to provide crystal clear audio and speech for online and in-game chat. Noise cancellation technology means you hear your mates better and they don’t have to put up with the sounds of your noisy housemates or siblings. You can also use it for calls with your mobile phone or tablet, nifty!

A single charge via Micro USB will get you 8 hours of talk time or up to 300 hours standby from the little earpiece. As pictured below, you’ll get three different sizes of ear bud to ensure maximum comfort.

Microsoft will be selling both accessories this November in perfect time for Christmas. They will retail at £14.99 for the Media Remote and £39.99 for the Bluetooth headset.

Which will you be buying? We’ve got our eyes on the Media Remote!
