Orange has announced that as of now, Windows Phone 7 users on their network will be able to opt to pay for in-app content as a part of their monthly bill, rather than paying by paypal or credit card.
Many games including Angry Birds offer gamers the chance to purchase extras while in the game such as level unlocks and new weapons, which until now could only be paid for by using a debit or credit card, or via paypal.
Orange are introducing the new payment gateway soon which will give Windows Phone users the option to pay by credit or debit card, or to simply add the cost of the app or purchase to their Orange phone bill at the end of the month. Neat.
We’re currently unsure as to whether Orange will offer a security option when adding a purchase to the phone bill – we would hope so, otherwise they may end up with some angry customers who’s kids have run them up a huge phone bill!
