Following last week’s cool announcement of a new Kickstarter and three new Pebble products that are in the works for release in January 2017, Amazon has dropped the price of the first generation Pebble Time to just £78.98!
Previously the most fashionable member of the Pebble family would cost £149 at its full price but now you can proudly sport a Pebble Time with its premium-look stainless steel finish for almost half the cost with a 47% saving (£71.01).
The Pebble Time was launched on Kickstarter in February 2015, a few years after the original Pebble which made such a big wave on the crowd-funding site. The second watch did just the same, blowing away its target backing in record time of just one day. The maker thought a flashy alternative would be well received – which indeed it was. This thanks to the wearable’s affordability and charm as well as an upgrade to a full colour e-paper display and the familiar and simple sync-ability with various social and lifestyle apps via Android and iOS phones.

The £78.98 price seems only to apply to the version of the Pebble Time with the Black strap – however, both the Red and White strapped versions are also still a steal at both £82.99 and £81.99 respectively. Limited stocks remain on all and on last check there were only 12 Time smartwatches in Black available at this price – so don’t wait around to order from Amazon now!
In other related news, crowd-funding for the brand new Pebble 2, Pebble Time 2 and Pebble Core has been exceeded less than a week after the Kickstarter was launched – this means the new gadgets will go out to first backers in January 2017!
