UK retailer Phones4U has let the cat out of the bag with contract prices for the forthcoming Blackberry Bold Touch 9900 smartphone, listing tariffs on their website.
A range of different contracts have been added to the product page on Phones4u’s website, but all on the Vodafone network only. Contracts start at £36 and run up to £46 per month, on 24 and 12 month contracts.
You can get the handset itself for free on contracts of £36 per month and £41 per month, which will get you 600 minutes, 3000 texts and 500MB data or 900 minutes, 3000 texts and 750MB respectively. There are also tariffs of £42, £62 and £72 per month if you’re a big spender.
If you’re one who gets bored of your phone easily you can get the new 9900 on a 12 month basis for £46 per month with a one-off fee of £139 for the phone itself. This deal gets you 900 minutes, 3000 texts and 500MB internet data.
The Phones4u website is quoting August 15th as the release date, 1 month earlier than we saw on Amazon.co.uk recently. This is the release date for the Black model and we have since learnt that a white variant will be hitting the shops two months later on October 15th.
The Blackberry Bold Touch 9900 will become RIM’s flagship Blackberry smartphone when it is released in the UK on September 15th, combining the legendary Blackberry QWERTY keyboard with a 2.6-inch 640 x 480 touchscreen. The latest Blackberry OS 7.0 software will run the show with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC (Near Field Communications) technology for wireless payment systems and the like. A 1.2GHz processor sits at the core of the Bold Touch, making it the most powerful Blackberry smartphone to date.
