Pioneer release washable earphones for dirty earred listeners!

Listen up music fans! Pioneer has designed some washable plugs for your filthy lugs!

Always at the forefront of music technology, the company are pumping out its first washable earphones – the SE-CL331 range. Now you can enjoy some dirty bass on your MP3 or iPod without the need for worrying that your earphones are getting equally as dirty by throwing them in the washer for a quick clean.

Waterproof to one metre and ready for a blast – the only thing they can’t do is resist excessive heat – so no machine drying.

The SE-CL331 phones are a nice and practical idea, but the slightly off-putting factor is the $60 price tag attached to one set of the colourful little plugs – including four washable tips, gold 3.5mm plug and a carry pouch.

Or the cheaper alternative? Maybe a pack of cotton buds and start cleaning out those ears more often!
