The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc will become available through O2 this month and price details have just emerged with the Android–packing, ultra-slim smartphone available through both contract and pay-as-you-go options.
The Xperia Arc boasts Sony’s Exmor R image sensor technology and 8.1 megapixel camera, combined with a high quality crystal clear display with a HDMI out connection which hooks up to TVs. At just 8.7mm thick, it’s up there with the iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S 2 as one of the thinnest smartphones available today.
O2 will be offering up the Xperia Arc free of charge with commitment to a 24-month contract costing you £27.00 per month and coming with 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data. Alternatively and less attractively, the Xperia Arc is available through the Pay & Go scheme for a pricey £359.99.
O2 has also confirmed it will be joining Vodafone and Three in releasing the Samsung Galaxy S2 on May 1st, and the Android-based multimedia-friendly smartphone is expected to appear on both contract and Pay & Go plans. Price details to follow..
