Sony’s long awaited, highly anticipated next generation portable games console, the PS Vita, has finally touched down at Gadget Helpline HQ, and needless to say we’re extremely excited.
We chose not to scrimp on our order, plumping for the 3G + Wi-Fi model which comes with a Pay As You Go SIM from Vodafone, the Pre-Order pack which comes with a jazzy set of limited edition blue PlayStation in-ear headphones and a bundle of downloadable content, and Uncharted: Golden Abyss to play.
Obviously we’re not keeping all of these gaming goodies to ourselves; before even touching the kit we took it straight into our photo studio to take plenty of snaps for you to feast your eyes upon, which you’ll find in the gallery at the bottom of this page. We’re also putting the finishing touches to a video review of the device; so keep your eyes glued both here and on our YouTube channel for that coming soon.
If you’ve somehow missed the buzz surrounding the Vita, let us fill you in. It’s Sony’s successor to the PSP series, and it’s a truly next-gen portable console ready to do battle with smartphones. It packs a stunning 5-inch OLED touchscreen, dual analog sticks, a Quad-Core processor, front and rear cameras and even a rear touchpad on the back that can be used to control certain aspects of games.
