Capcom releases its latest game in the popular and undying zombie franchise as Resident Evil: Raccoon City rises again on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 consoles from Friday 23rd of March.
The post-apocalyptic third person shooter series returns after selling 47-million units worldwide in its 16 year legacy and Resident Evil: Raccoon City looks to continue all the familiar gory graphics and eerie effects setting the tone for puzzle solving and exploring in the same vein as it predecessors, but this one comes with a slight twist.
Referencing and retelling scenes from Resident Evil 2 and 3, single players or teams of players will find themselves in the midst of a previously unseen storyline with frightening foes from the original games and familiar friends will reappear with a massive multiplayer online appeal for up to eight people and the Xbox 360 version will benefit from a release day content pack called Nemesis Mode – the name alone an indication to who’ll be included in that one!
Both Xbox 360 and PS3 version will be supported by regular future DLC packages including new alternate costumes for human characters.
Players take on those human roles with characters from both the US Special Ops force, searching for evidence to the T-Virus and the evil Umbrella Corporation, looking to destroy all traces. Throw in numerous waves of those zombies and bio-weapons all fighting one another – and it’s quite a battle royale shaping up in Raccoon City! The game releases this Friday for consoles, with a Windows PC version planned for May 18th.
