Samsung confirms four new colours of Galaxy S4 to launch this year

Right on cue, Samsung’s Galaxy S4 has reached the 10,000 sales mark, making it the fastest selling smartphone of this year and of Samsung’s Android range. To celebrate, we’ve been told there are four shiny new colour variants coming this year.

One of the colours has been revealed recently in a rather unofficial manner; Arctic Blue. Samsung has also treated us to Aurora Red, which to us looks a little more pink than red.

Joining those colours much later in the year will be Purple Mirage and Brown Autumn, but Samsung hasn’t said exactly when we can expect them. A purple version of the Galaxy S3 launched not so long ago exclusively on Sprint in the US, so we’re guessing the purple S4 will look similar.

Samsung CEO of IT and mobile JK Shin thanked everyone who has recently adopted a Galaxy S4;

On behalf of Samsung, I would like to thank the millions of customers around the world who have chosen the Samsung Galaxy S4. At Samsung we’ll continue to pursue innovation inspired by and for the people.”

As well as new colours Samsung will be pushing its flagship smartphone into new countries, with 45 new regions pencilled in to receive the Android Jelly Bean-toting Full HD phone throughout the year. By the end of 2013 Samsung’s flagship will be in 155 countries!

Of the two above, Arctic Blue has to be our favourite. We’ve never been sold on brown smartphones either, and purple is a tad too garish, if that S3 is anything to go by. Which colour takes your fancy?
