Samsung has unleashed the Galaxy S Blaze 4G in the United States through T-Mobile, part of the Korean tech co.’s assault on the super-fast and fast-growing LTE (4G) mobile communications network.
The Blaze 4G comes riding in on an impressive 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor with 3.97” Samsung standard Super AMOLED display, combining Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread’s finest points including Gmail and Google Maps alongside Samsung’s native software apps and T-Mobile’s App Pack featuring tools such as Dropbox, Evernote, LinkedIn and Camscanner which benefits from the smartphone’s respectable 5-megapixel camera. There’s also a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for video calling. And, of course, that connection to the speedy world of T-Mobile HSPA+42 – or 4G.
T-Mobile’s US Senior Vice President states that the Samsung Galaxy Blaze 4G “paired with T-Mobile’s fast 4G network and our unlimited data plans” provides an easy way for customers to “enjoy the benefits of 4G experiences at a price they can afford” – and the $150 gadget on a two year minimum contract seems to prove the point nicely.
You may indeed recall another smartphone gadget travelling by the name Blaze. There was a UK release by lesser-seen Chinese mobile co. Huawai back in late 2011 but the self-branded effort by the manufacturers behind the Orange network’s Barcelona handset sadly hit the budget end of the market and seemingly disappeared from the radar. We expect Samsung’s namesake to do a little better.
