You’d be right to associate the colour gold with high end, high quality products. However Samsung seem to have broken through the boundaries of this stereotype and are launching their mid-range Galaxy Grand 2 in a glorious gold.

The Galaxy Grand 2 came onto the scene back in January and was available in the classic black or white colours. It has been considered one of Samsung’s best-sellers for this year and set the user back around £180 give or take.

The newer gold release will be exactly the same as its monochrome brothers in terms of specification; only the colour will vary. The Galaxy Grand 2 offers a 5.25-inch display with 720×1280 pixels, dual SIM support, 8MP rear facing camera with LED flash, 1.9 MP front-facing camera, 1.5 GB of RAM, quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, and 8 GB of expandable storage space. The handset has also been recently updated from Android 4.3 Jelly Bean to KitKat 4.4.

At the moment the Galaxy Grand 2 Gold is only available in selected Asian markets including Malaysia but is set to be released in India and other areas soon.
