Samsung Galaxy S II variants launched in Korea – LTE & LTE HD with 4G

It’s been a good day so far from Samsung’s Galaxy range. Not only has the company revealed that ten million units of its ‘original’ Galaxy S II – ‘World’s Most Powerful Smartphone’ – have been shifted in just 5 short months, but now it’s outted two new variants to its lucky Korean countrymen (and women).

Tech has been beefed up a little on the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE and LTE HD models, mainly  to handle the cutting edge 4G connectivity that comes with both smartphones.  The thickness of the slender handset receives an insignificant  increase to just 9.5mm in depth. But we don’t think you’ll be complaining about a few extra mil around the waist.

The difference between LTE and LTE HD, doesn’t take a genius to suss out. The latter features high definition Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a true HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. This along with 16GB of storage, a dual-core 1.5GHz CPU, with NFC connectivity and an 8-megapixel camera inlcuding 1080p HD video output.

Unfortunately we here in the UK are still to find out when we’ll get the full 4G service, so the likelihood of these Galaxy handsets setting sail and paying us a visit is uncertain right now. But we really, really hope they do!
