Here’s one for you mothers – or those seeking an easy-to-use, respectable spec, entry level smartphone for a penny under £150 – Introducing the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2.
From Korean co. Samsung, the Galaxy Mini 2 presents Android 2.3 Gingerbread features and apps, including ChatOn text-based messenger service and Samsung’s own Music Hub, on a diminutive 3.27-inch HVGA touchscreen.
All this runs on a more than capable 800MHz Single-core CPU supported by 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage for videos and snaps captured on the modest 3-megapixel camera. The slender Galaxy gadget measures just 11.9mm in thickness and not only saves money in your pocket, it also fits there with ease and comes in a colourful bumblebee yellow, with black front surface and silver trim.
The Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 is appealing to less technically-minded users or the social savvy teen on the go, but it’s unlikely the most hardened of tech fans will find this one of interest, unless it’s as a second handset for casual use or on occasions when your spanking new Galaxy S3 might be at risk. Released today and costing £149.99, the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 is a good investment for any of these reasons.
