Samsung Galaxy Nexus Volume Bug Fix Available Now!

As promised the fix for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus volume bug has begun to roll out and is available now by updating the smartphone’s system via the setting menu.

Launched on November 17th the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich model mobile, a much-anticipated collaboration between Google software and Samsung tech, was launched to the public and since that time  users have piled onto the XDA Developers forum and social sites such as Twitter and Facebook reporting what is being refered to as SAV-Ghost, where by the handsets volume fades out eerily by itself during a phone call – the effect is reflected in the title given by the users, which is an abreviation of ‘Self-Aware Volume Ghost’.

The bug made making calls on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus near-impossible and users have had to hang up on their new toy just days after purchase, with nothing but a word from Google to go on. Just yesterday Google was able to confirm that yes – a fix is on its way.

Today it has arrived and users can grab their update right now by accessing their Android phones Settings then selecting About Phone > System Updates > Check Now

This will make the handset automatically find the relevant update, simply select and install.

If you’re a Samsung Galaxy Nexus user who has successfully installed the fix, please let us know – or if you haven’t been able to work it also let us know on our comments below or via our @Gadget_Helpline Twitter page or Official Facebook group.
