Well today seems to be rumour central around the Samsung camp, and as we finally count down to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 at next week’s Samsung Unpacked event in New York, some information about forthcoming other Galaxy devices are leaking online including the proposed Samsung Galaxy Note 3!
With rumours of a 10-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Plus specs also leaked today it’s now over to Samsung’s number 2 smartphone, the Galaxy Note, to get a bit of specification speculation. A reported source for Korea Times, has stated that the next Galaxy Note 2 smartphone will come with a whopping 5.9-inch screen later this year.
The source claims that the next Note will belout “in the latter half of the year” and also alleges that the Note 3 will have an AMOLED touchscreen and run on the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa eight-core processor. That’s the same processor that we are expecting to see next week in Samsung’s newest Galaxy S4 smartphone when the company announces it at their Samsung Unpacked press event on March 14th.
The 5.9-inch screen will see the continued screen expansion that the original Note and Note 2 saw, as they were sized at 5.3 and 5.5-inches respectively, but with most high-end smartphones starting at the 5-inch size it’s clear that the Note 2 (which is known for its massive screen) will have to up the ante.
Now this could all just be rumours and speculation and of course a nearly 6-inch smartphone is starting to slip into tablet territory, but we have faith in Samsung after the excellent Samsung Note 2 smartphone that it will deliver something that’s still sleek and stylish.
