Samsung is set to release the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone on the 10th of October here in the UK, one upping the US release by more than a week. The device’s pre-orders are now open as well, meaning that the Galaxy Note 4 is now ready to compete with the new iPhone 6.
The Galaxy Note 4 is bigger than both versions of the iPhone 6, the 6 and 6 Plus. The 6 measures in at 4.7 inches, the Plus at 5.5 inches, whilst Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 trumps them both at 5.7 inches. That’s big.

Not only is the Galaxy Note 4’s screen bigger, but it also features a higher resolution that the iPhone 6’s and 6 Plus’s retina displays, with the Note 4’s including 2560 x 1440 Quad HD resolution. It also includes the S Pen, a stylus to help pinpoint tiny features on that massive screen.
“With its premium design and Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy Note 4 is the go-to-device for those looking for a stunning viewing experience,” said Ines van Gennip, Samsung’s UK’s mobile marketing director.
“With a number of innovative features to aid multitasking and increase productivity, we’re excited to offer our UK customers a revolutionary way of accessing and engaging with content on their mobile device.”
Whilst stocks of the iPhone 6 are going to be limited, we could expect there to be a lot more stock of the Galaxy Note 4, as Samsung;s device may not be in as high demand as the iPhone. However, it also costs less, which may affect stock if people simply can’t fork out the high price of the iPhone.

Whether you’re in the market for the iPhone 6 or the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 this weekend, the best we can tell you is to try to pre order, reserve or somehow get a device put aside for you. Demand at this time of year for smartphones is huge, as September usually sees the biggest releases of the year.
