Samsung Galaxy S3 Will Get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in August

Yet another report that the Samsung Galaxy SIII Android smartphone will be getting the latest Google Android OS Jelly Bean at the end of August, and this time it comes from ever-reliable website GSMArena.com.

Last week tech website SamMobile reported that the SGS3 will be getting the latest update to Android version 4.1 on the 29th of August, for users of the own brand devices.

This basically means that if you have a non-network branded Samsung Galaxy SIII you will be able to download the update to your Android phone using the Samsung Kies PC suite, or by simply waiting for the update to come over the air via Wi-Fi.

The report states that the Jelly Bean 4.1 update is ready to go for the phone but it is in the final stages of certification by Google, where they need to check the update works with the handset.

We are very lucky as reportedly Europeans and our Asian friends will be getting the update first, hopefully by the 29th of August.
