Samsung will be pleased, as the Carphone Warehouse is reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S4 has seen the highest number of pre-registrations ever for any phone in its store since its announcement last week on the 14th of March.
I think we all knew that the SG S4 would be a little bit popular but with that inkling feeling that it might not perform as well as last year’s Samsung Galaxy SIII launch which was pretty phenomenal. Especially as the S3’s specs still stand firm against many of the current top end smartphones on release.
Apparently though there is no need for Samsung to worry as the Carphone Warehouse’s online pre-registration form, which puts you on a list to receive news on the Galaxy S4, has received four times as many registrations as the Galaxy S3 did last year.
“The Galaxy SIII launch broke records last year and was always going to be a tough one to beat, but the S4 is already proving to be a more than capable step up in the series that will inspire many people to make the switch to Android from other operating systems. This device is the one to watch for 2013.” said Graham Stapleton, chief operating officer, Carphone Warehouse.
The phone is due to go on sale on the 26 April and with its 5-inch, 1080p display, thinner, lighter casing and being packed with new software features, including Air Gesture support, Smart Scroll eye tracking and Dual Shot video capture all adding to the amazing hardware.
