The S5 Mini is not like its previous siblings, in that it’s not a smaller and lower spec smartphone, it’s more of a Smaller version of the Galaxy S5, with the bigger handset blockbusters specifications in a smaller shell.
The S5 Mini will come with the same fingerprint sensor home button that adds extra security and allows users to verify PayPal payments using their finger, as well as the S Health functionality such as heart rate sensors.

The Galaxy S5 mini sports a 4.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, 1.5GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD slot up to 64GB, and a 2,100 mAh battery.
Inside the handset will run the latest Android 4.4 KitKat OS which has the Samsung TouchWiz UX, that features such as Ultra Power Saving Mode and Kids Mode.
The handset itself is just 9.1mm thin and will come with standard features such as 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and GLONASS GPS as well as being IP67 rated making it water and dust resistant.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 mini will go onsale in July in Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold and has a European release price of €479.
