Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 plus specifications show up for new Android tablet

Will the Google Nexus 10 be the basis of the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus?

After a long and very publicised battle with Apple over copyright infringements, Samsung is looking to get back in the tablet war in 2012 and its looking like Sammy is preparing a new Samsung Galaxy Tab for release, to compete with Apple and Google’s own slates.

Specifications have been leaked that suggest that Samsung is working on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Plus, which will see the Korean tech company releasing a tablet with a high-resolution 10-inch display similar to the Samsung-made Nexus 10.

Tech website Android Authority is reporting that the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus will also be powered by a nippy 1.7GHz dual-core processor as well as a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution display. A Bluetooth SIG filing has also seemingly confirmed that the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus will also be a 4G enabled device.

We have been awaiting a host of new tablets from Samsung but with the two big electronics shows of the year having passed, all Samsung announced was the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 at the MWC show last month.

Seeing as Samsung has been creating the hardware for the Google Nexus 10 it’s easy for the company to release its own version of the tablet and add on the Samsung TouchWiz UI to boot, but with Samsung gearing up for a big announcement of the Galaxy S4 smartphone, the company may want to focus their energy on the Galaxy S IV in the next few weeks.

However, there is a chance that Samsung could announce the new tablet device to the world alongside the Samsung Galaxy S4 at the Samsung Unpacked event that is happening next week on March 14th.
