Yesterday we speculated that eth Samsung created new Google Nexus Prime handset would be coming soon due to it passing the Bluetooth SIG certification, thenlow and behold just 24 hors later we are Google and Samsung have sent out invites to the “Samsung mobile Unpacked 2011: Google Episode” at this year’s CITA show in San Diego.
The invites were dropped overnight and invite the press to the CITA Event with a few mentions fo Android in the invite, but with it not specifying anything about a new phone it does have a link to a live streaming link at www.YouTube.com/Android.
We have been seeing bits and bobs form the Samsung powered Nexus 3 device for some time and have been patiently waiting for the super smartphone which is promising to come with the latest version of the Google Android OS Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed.
So at the ICTA Event we are looking to not only find out all about the new Google Nexus Prime handset but also get a view as to the new features and specs of Google’s latest OS.
The Nexus Prime/Galaxy Nexus/Nexus 3 (we are not sure on what they will call it!) is reportedly a bit of a smartphone beast with a dual-core 1.5 GHz Exynos 4212 processor, a 4.6-inch screen with 1280×720 HD resolution and the possibility of no physical “press” buttons at all – just touch keys.
The announcement will see something big come out of the CITA event and whilst we are not sure it can match Apples announcement next week its still good to see Google and Samsung getting close to the hype that is Apples PR.
Stay tuned to the Gadget Helpline around the 11th of October for all the latest Google, Samsung and CITA news.
