Samsung’s Gear S smartwatch will be available in the US next week

Samsung have today announced that its incoming Samsung Gear S smartwatch will be launching in the US from next week onwards.

The Gear S will be hitting US shelves from the 7th of November (next Friday) and will be on sale in the states via all four major US carriers aka Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile.

The Samsung Gear S design is vastly different from Samsung’s other smartwatch, with the Gear taking on a larger 2-inch curved Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 360p. Inside its powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8626 processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of storage to produce a sleek piece of wearable tech.

The Samsung gear S will be available in both a black and white variant and has a built in 3G cellular radio that allows users to make calls and connect to the internet without having their phone nearby.

Inside its powered by the Tizen mobile operating system and is equipped with a variety of sensors, including compass, heart rate monitor, and GPS.

A host of Apps will be available for the Smartwatch on the Tizen OS, although not many have been confirmed Samsung said as many as 1,000 would be available at launch.

The Gear S is available in the US on various pricing plans, r it can be purchased for a one off fee of $349 for just the smartwatch, but you will need a data plan to get the features working

There Is no news on if the newest gear watch will land in the UK, but we hope the stylish wearable will come our way soon.
