It’s hard to believe, but the brilliance of pausing and rewinding live TV thanks to Sky+ is 10 years old this month.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the service, Sky has created 10 limited edition designer editions of the popular Sky+ HD box, each with 1TB of storage space.
Sky has enlisted the help of some of Britain’s top fashion and jewellery designers to create iconic designs that will adorn the limited edition boxes. Designers such as Agent Provocateur and Jay Jay Burridge are amongst the designers to create a funky Sky+ HD box.
Both existing and new Sky customers can get their mitts on one of the super cool boxes in time for Christmas simply by subscribing to the Sky HD service. Existing Sky customers can pay £49 to upgrade to the service, while new Sky customers pay £149 to subscribe to Sky HD (£10.25 extra per month) and bag one of the swanky designer boxes.
Sky say that the boxes are “very limited edition”, so you’ll need to register your interest fast to be in with a chance of scoring one. Head over to Sky’s website here to register interest and to let them know which boxes you’re interested in. If you’re not fussy, you can tick all 10 boxes to ensure you have the maximum chance of a designer box.
Each design is very different and wraps across the top and front of the box, giving it a much better look to the standard black box. If we had to pick one design as our favourite it would have to be the awesome Rhino design from Jay Jay Burridge.
