Sony announces new MDR-DS6500 wireless surround sound headphones

If you’ve been thinking about getting yourself some new headphones, you may not want to look any further than the new MDR-DS6500 that’s just been announced by Sony.

These new wireless headphones are pretty darn neat; they feature Sony’s VPT technology (Virtualphones Technology) which will allow you to immerse yourself in 7.1ch digital surround sound, making it ideal for when you watch your favourite films. There is also a choice of different surround sound modes as well such as Dolby Digital.  In addition, Sony also guarantees interference-free CD quality audio with a range of up to 100m from the base unit.

Sony are also promising 20 hours of listening for every 3 hours they are charged on the supplied dock, which is also pretty impressive for wireless headphones these days.
