Two new Sony Ericsson smartphones spotted in the wild

  • by

So apparently Sony Ericsson is intent on putting their stamp on the Android world, and rumours have it they are just about to release two new Android Smartpones.

Meet the ST18i and the CK15i, these two handsets will join the Xperia Mini, and Xperia Pro in a new batch of Android 2.3.x Gingerbread devices.

Although the device code names have been leaked, they’re more than likely just codenames – we’ll have to wait a while longer to find out the official model names.

There has not been a lot of info about the hardware of the handsets, however the Sony Ericsson ST18i is reported to have an 854 x 480 resolution display, 8-megapixel camera, ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor and of course, runs Android Gingerbread. It also has HD tagged on the back case, and a front facing camera.

These seem to be an average set of specifications, meaning the ST18i is gearing up to fight it out with other mid-range Android devices.

The Sony Ericsson CK15i features a 3.3-inch display running at a mild 240 x 400 resolution, and comes equipped with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.  Could this possibly be the TXT Pro that has been rumoured for a while?
