Sony Nozomi Nips Out Again – Android ICS model Xperia in New Leaked Shots

Sony recently bought out the partnership with Ericsson with sights set on a great 2012 and one of the new treats due to appear in the coming year is this mobile handset, currently codenamed “Nozomi”. Set to join the ranks of the Xperia range, Nozomi will come in an Ice Cream Sandwich flavour, packing the brand new Android 4.0 update and is predicted for a first official appearance at the Mobile World Congress in February. For now there have been some tasty leak to whet the appetites of Sony Ericsson fans and the latest has just arrived this morning.

The Sony Nozomi, as it’s currently known, features in some leaked promotional materials and If you’ve been following the gadget’s development and have seen the earlier leaks you’ll notice not much has changed with the overall appearance of the Nozomi. There’s not much information given in the snippet we’re offered today – but we do get to see the phone from a new angle in a new rendered image, showing off the sleek side profile of the future smartphone.

From earlier info on the Sony Ericsson Nozomi we understand it will be a dual-core offering, supported by 1GB of RAM with a 720p display which looks fairly generous from the shots leaked so far (no official dimensions are given yet). The future Xperia is also said to feature high-def video recording through a 12-megapixel shooter and output at 1080p resolution.

Mark this information as rumour – and look forward to at least two more months of speculation ahead of February’s big MWC event in Barcelona where Sony is suggested to debut the Nozomi under the Xperia range.
