An Android Ice Cream Sandwich handset at under £130..?
We’re serious – and Sony has just revealed the price of its latest little Xperia – the Xperia Miro – a tidy and respectable spec handset that comes in at less than half the price of some of the tech titans currently dominating the market and usually the only gadget’s boasting Google’s latest upgrade.
Sony’s Xperia Miro continues the stylish appearance of its superior siblings, the Xperia S, P and U and in a smaller overall frame delivers the slick new Android 4.0 operating software from the unboxing (something the owners of the Xperia S have had to wait to upgrade to until very recently). The Miro runs on a single-core 800MHz CPU so in fairness – no, it’s not going to blow you away. But for the pocket money price we can see youngsters on a budget and non-demanding gadget fans enjoying and appreciating this smartphone most of all.
The Xperia Miro also features a reasonable 3.5” inch touchscreen 320 x 480 pixel resolution display, with FM Radio and 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and connectivity with 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It comes in a range of colours including Black, Pink, White with Silver, White with Gold and is available to pre-order from U.K e-tailer Clove for just £126 (including the VAT!)
