Sony PS Vita Unboxing and Video Review

  • by

The new Sony PS Vita has landed at Gadget Helpline HQ, and after we shot a release day gallery for you lucky folk, we headed straight into our studio to record an unboxing and video review.

In the video we unbox the 3G + Wi-Fi PS Vita console along with the pre-order pack and Uncharted: Golden Abyss – one of 26 release titles available. You’ll get a great look at the device’s fantastic design up-close, gameplay from Uncharted looking amazing on that gorgeous 5-inch OLED screen, as well as some Augmented Reality gaming and more.

If you’ve been out of the loop and have somehow missed the buzz surrounding Sony’s latest handheld, we’ll fill you in. The PS Vita crams in an incredible amount of tech into a slim, stylish and well-built body. Everything is powered by a Quad-Core processor with high quality graphics displayed on a 5-inch OLED touchscreen, with the traditional Playstation controls spaced out neatly around the console. The back panel has a touch-responsive area which can be used in games, and there are also front and rear cameras for recording, taking pictures, video calling and much more.

The console is available now in both Wi-Fi only and 3G + Wi-Fi versions, which each retail at around £225 and £280 respectively. Games cost between £30 and £40 (there are 26 available now), and you can even download PSP games and play PS3 games without even being connected to the console (data connection required).
