Sony has revealed that the PlayStation Network will be out again today for a scheduled maintenance for a full 12 hours over the 15th of April.
Sony states this is to bring in some “great deals” for the PSN as part of its Spring Fever 2013 event, which will see discounted games and offers on everything PSN, but to get this set up the online network will be offline for half a day.
“In order to continue bringing you the best online games experience on PSN, we will perform routine maintenance beginning the morning of Monday, April 15th. This maintenance will start at approximately 8:00AM PT (9:00AM MT / 10:00AM CT / 11:00 AM ET) and last until around 8:00PM PT (9:00PM MT / 10:00PM CT / 11:00PM ET). “
This equates to 4PM UK time to 4AM the following day.
As per usual with the PSN outages there will be a lack of PSN action and if you try to sign into the network you will get a maintenance notification.
The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will not be available during the maintenance period.
Access to games online and apps will be available only if the player has logged in to the PSN over the weekend, so if you have not logged in over the past 72 hours then it may be long wait today for the network to come back up.
Sony of course apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks you for your support.
