After a series of artistic teasers the Sony S1 tablet is finally unveiled and on its way, and UK retailer Dixons has just let slip the pricing and release date when we can get to grips on the stylish slab.
September 24th is the day the 9.4” Android Honeycomb tablet drops – with prices ranging from £399.99 for a 16GB WiFi only model and £499.99 for a 16GB 3G alternative. Or by upping the memory to a 32GB tablet the price remains the same, however this will only get you a WiFi connection.
The S1 tablet is the single screened curvy number seen previously in the imaginative videos from Sony and it’ll be riding in on an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core CPU and – highly important – with a Playstation certification, and potential for a vast library of games.
Now news on the S2 slate, also known as Tablet P, but as always the Gadget Helpline will keep on top of this story to bring you pricing and release schedule info on the intriguing dual-screen Sony model.
