Sony has revealed its epic plans for next week’s E3 gaming conference in Los Angeles where the manufacturer is set to show off its next generation PS4 console in full – including what the actual console looks like – as well as over 40 games that will be coming to the PS3, PS Vita and PS4 consoles.
Sony has made a statement on its official blog confirming that it is “planning to showcase more than 40 games” across all current consoles at the world’s biggest gaming expo next week.
Sony has also announced its live streaming plans for the event where it will be broadcasting the PlayStation E3 2013 press conference from Monday, June 10th at 5:30pm Pacific/8:30pm Eastern in 9 languages.
Then, from Tuesday, June 11th at noon Pacific Time Sony will be starting its three days of PlayStation LiveCast shows featuring gameplay demos and developer interviews for upcoming PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games.
In the blog post Sony name dropped a few of the games it will be showcasing including: Beyond: Two Souls from Quantic Dream, Destiny from Bungie, DriveClub from Evolution Studios, The Evil Within from Tango GameWorks, Gran Turismo 6 from Polyphony Digital, inFAMOUS: Second Son from Sucker Punch Productions, Killzone: Shadow Fall and Killzone Mercenary from Guerrilla Games, The Last of Us from Naughty Dog, Tearaway from Media Molecule, Wolfenstein: The New Order from MachineGames and many, many more.
Sony has also outlined its streaming live schedule for the week:
- Monday, June 10th | PlayStation E3 2013 Press Conference | 5:30pm Pacific Time
- Tuesday, June 11th | PlayStation LiveCast show | 12:00pm to 6:00pm Pacific Time
- Wednesday, June 12th | PlayStation LiveCast show | 10:00am to 6:00pm Pacific Time
- Thursday, June 13th | PlayStation LiveCast show | 10:00am to 6:00pm Pacific Time
And these can be seen on the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation.com, Ustream, a fully-fledged virtual E3 booth complete with livestream in PlayStation Home, Facebook, and finally Google Plus.
You can watch it on your PS3 too – on the XMB there will be a What’s New section or on the PS Vita there’s the Nico Nico video app.
It’s going to be a big week for Sony who has a lot of ground to cover to show off its PS4 console and to continue its PS3 legacy as Microsoft wages war with its recently revealed Xbox One console. Let the battle commence!
