Sony Walkman reboot sighted – Touchscreen NWZ-A865 leaked!

Music to the ears of many today, as the much-anticipated Walkman reboot has been leaked ahead of time by an online retailer who has also revealed tech spec and price for Sony’s new iPod contender.

Blundering Play.com now lists the Sony NWZ-A860 Walkman MP3 player for a July 31st release and they are now taking pre-orders on the 16GB gadget, which can also wireless connect to iTunes and streaming music networks as well as pick up FM radio. If you fancy a sing-along it’ll even supply you with the lyrics to your favourite song.

The redesign of the popular Walkman brand features a redesigned style, 3.4” AMOLED touchscreen with aluminium finish – it looks more like a smartphone than the chunky cassette player which blasted our tunes on the way to school!

Play.com has a reputation of playing too fast for the band, and has previously leaked details for gadgets such as the HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy S II.

Since it’s now out there, you can pre-order yourself a 2011 version Sony Walkman from Play.com now for £129.99.
