Sony looks set to go all-out with the Full HD smartphone trend this year, with rumours of a new Sony Xperia C670X marking the third Android phone with a 1080p display set to come out of the Japanese tech company this year.
Joining the now commercially available Xperia Z and Xperia ZL will be a new mystery phone, for which we currently only know the model number and not the final name. Whilst still rocking a super-sharp Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, this new Xperia will have a slightly smaller screen size at 4.8-inches.
We’re also told that one of Qualcomm’s newest and fastest processors will be at the core of the phone; the Snapdragon 600. This is a quad-core chip that’s said to be clocked at 1.8GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 320 graphics for plenty of power.
The same 13-megapixel Exmor R camera is to be found in the back of the phone, along with 32GB of internal storage and the very latest Android Jelly Bean 4.2 operating system.
We’re not sure whether Sony will stick with the classy glass design of the Xperia Z or switch things up for this new model, despite a render of the phone being sent in along with the tip to Xperia Blog.
At the moment we’ve no idea when this phone will launch, although as with all rumours we encourage reading with a pinch of salt to hand. We won’t be complaining about another Full HD beauty from Sony though!
