After unveiling the Xperia M2 at the Mobile World Congress all the way back in February Sony is finally ready to release the mid-range 4G smartphone in the UK this Friday.
The Sony Xperia M2 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and features 4.8-inch qHD display with 960 x 450 resolution. Running the show is a tidy 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, with a modest 8-megapixel Sony Exmor RS as main camera, capturing up to 1080p snaps and video. And most importantly, the point of sale – the Xperia M2 offers a 4G / LTE compliant smartphone for those shopping in the middle price tier.
Costing £239.99 SIM-free, with contracted tariffs available starting at £18.99 per month from UK 4G pioneer EE, the Sony Xperia M2 is a straight forward piece of tech with a similar visual design to the Xperia Z2, this season’s flagship which also debuted at MWC. Adequate specs at an affordable price are the order of the day with the Xperia M2, and the handset will also offer three colour choices in Black, White and Purple when it goes on sale tomorrow.
