Sony Xperia Z2 SIM-Free with Android 4.4 Available to Pre-Order

The new Sony Xperia Z2 has become available as a SIM-free model and is currently up for pre-order, available for delivery on April 1st.

Packing the tasty new Android 4.4 KitKat, the Xperia Z2 becomes Sony’s new flagship model and will feature a 5.2 inch Triluminous display with a sharp 1,920 x 1,080 full HD resolution and superb colours when viewed from all angles. The handset runs on a powerful 2.3GHz quad-core processor and comes complete with 3GB RAM, plus internal storage expansion via micro SD up to a generous 64GB.

This will no doubt come in handy when snapping photos and footage on the Sony Xperia Z2’s 20-megapixel beast of a camera which delivers 4K quality video capture with stabilisation. Like the previous generation Xperia Z1, this model is dust resistant and also waterproof, so it can take dip of up to one metre for up to 30 minutes.

Sony supplies the handset with a pair of its own in-ear headphones which fit the standard 3.5mm jack port, and the Xperia Z2 will connect to a laptop or PC with micro USB port. Ample talk time and standby is offered by a 3,000 mAh battery.

Accessories include a mains charger and data cable with exclusive headphones, speaker and phone content when purchased SIM-free for £544.98 (VAT inc.) from Unlocked Mobiles.
