Another leak about the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact has surfaced with new images and details appearing on Sing Weibo. Previous leaks have suggested the phone will come with a 20.7 megapixel rear facing camera and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and there has also been information leaked on the apparent size of the device.
New information leaked suggests that the Sony Z3 Compact screen is bigger than first thought – coming in at 4.6 inches with full HD 1080p resolution. It’s not only the screen size that is rumoured to be bigger than first thought – the phone is also believed to pack 3GB of RAM; a full Gigabyte more than first anticipated.
Of course, all of this is mere speculation and we are expecting to wait until announcements at the IFA trade show in Berlin before we get some solid facts and stats. We personally feel that all previous compact varieties of flagship phones have fallen a bit short, both on spec and actually in feel… but as more rumours emerge this could be the first phone to break that mould of disappointment!
Before you get too excited, it is worth bearing in minding that these are all just rumours at the moment; for all we know, in solid information, it could be a 20 inch phone made of cheese. In fact, having said that, the Sony Z2 hasn’t really been out that long and we still don’t have a compact version of the Z2. Maybe we can expect great things from the Sony Z2 Compact too? At the end of the day what we do know is if this is the level of spec the compact Z3 is thought to have then the full fat Z3 should be even better – as all non-compact versions (Samsung S Series, Previous Sonys and HTCs etc) do tend to have better camera, screens, software… everything really!
