It looks as though Toshiba are preparing to have another crack at the Android tablet market, as leaked images show a new super-slim Honeycomb tablet from Toshiba.
The image above was leaked by NotebookItalia and shows the new tablet compared to Toshiba’s other tablet, the Thrive. The Thrive unfortunately didn’t fare too well sales-wise, perhaps due to its rather chunky body (a hefty 15mm thick!).
Toshiba’s new tablet pictured above looks to be almost half as thick as the Thrive, with a sleek silver finish on the edging to boot.
The image also shows that the new tablet will feature a MicroSD Slot, mini-HDMI port and USB port at least. We’re thankful Toshiba seem to have learnt from their mistakes with the Thrive, as this new tablet looks very slender and stylish indeed.
Rumours are already abound for specifications, with whispers of a 1.5GHz Dual-Core OMAP 4460 processor on board the new Tosh tablet.
We’re very much expecting the new Toshiba tablet to make an official appearance at the IFA technology event which is taking place in Berlin between September 1st and 7th. We’ll keep you fully up to date with everything from the event as it happens, so stay tuned!
