Following the very fruitful release of Super Smash Bros. on the 3DS, opening the world of wonder to 2.8 million consumers worldwide, it’s no surprise it has left people pondering when it will be released on the Wii U.

To keep the ball of success rolling, Nintendo have unveiled the release dates for when fans across the world can expect to see Super Smash Bros. Wii U edition arrive in a store near them. Here in the UK it is due to land on the 5th December and can be obtained for £39.99. North America can expect to see it a little earlier on 21st November for $59.99; just in time for Christmas!
Nintendo’s Scott Moffitt, of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing had this to say:

Nintendo’s holiday software lineup is more than impressive, and our Amiibo figures start a new chapter in the world of Nintendo interactive entertainment. With so many great experiences available, this holiday season is going to be an amazing time to be a Nintendo fan.”

The release will allow the use of the previously announced 12 Amiibo figures including: Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Pikachu, Kirby and Mart. There are also going to be 6 more characters coming in December to liven up the party. You’ll be able to choose from Zelda, Diddy Kong, Luigi, Little Mac, Pit and Captain Falcon.
