If you happen to be a fan of the Swype keyboard application for Android, you may be interested in knowing that the developers have just released and updated version which now supports ICS.
Now, if you’re not familiar with Swype, it’s an excellent aid in allowing you to easily compose text messages or emails simply by swiping your fingers over the letters required – Swype will then cleverly guess which word you want to use.
The new ICS version of Swype is still in beta, however I doubt you’ll notice this as it appears be stable with no obvious bugs are quirks to report of.
Some will argue there are still things that are missing from Swype which other alternative Android keyboards offer, however personally I find that it’s excellent in allowing you to easily type with one hand efficiently and will no doubt fill most peoples requirements.
So, if you happen to have an ICS device such as the Galaxy Nexus and you want to try out Swype, you can download the latest version by registering for the beta testing program here.
